Now that I am closing in on 4,000 miles, I have finally stopped kicking the floor to shift. And I still am fascinated by the DSG. It’s so excessive for such a quick transmission to be in such a normal car, yet here we are. That said, I haven’t forgotten about the Fiesta... I’ve found it enjoyable watching the price rise, then fall as the dealer still tries to sell a dildo dented car.

I did enjoy seeing the dealer I traded my FiST in at set the price to like 17 or 18k after getting the FoST for the same price. But I busted a gut laughing when the FiST price drops happened the next month so you could get my rallycrossed, 60k mile FiST for 18k or a brand new one for....18k.

Yeah it fell in price pretty quickly.

The more I am in this, the more I realize that the FiST just didn’t work well as a car. And *flamesuit on* this makes me giggle and laugh like a child more than the Fiesta did, all while being able to pull off sedate and boring incredibly well when commuting.

The Fiesta has it's place as a small car for daily-ing one or two people easily, but ye', the Golf is larger and more practical but has the fun of the Fiesta making it a greater package, just as the Focus is to the Fiesta.

The TL sounds better, is more comfortable, faster, better handling, and overall much more interesting. However I do miss the fuel efficiency...went from close to 30 average MPG to right at 20.

I would like to try a Polo GTI before I gave the Fiesta the benefit of the doubt. If it’s anything like the Golf inside, the Fiesta still doesn’t make much sense.

I wouldn’t do it to yourself as you may take a shining to the Polo GTi.

The interior is rather spartan, sort of how the Mk1 GTi was.

I do have a hankering for a Vauxhall Corsa VXR because it is small, not as practical as bigger hatchbacks but practical for a younger geberation and college .
